Fetal Vegf Genotype is More Important for Abortion Risk than Mother Genotype

چکیده مقاله:
Background VEGF gene has been reported to be related with many diseases and recurrent pregnancy loss in various studies. VEGF polymorphisms are risk factors for pregnancy losses, and generally studies report only women’s genetic analyses. To evaluate the association between VEGF A C405G, C460T, C936T and C2578A polymorphisms and spontaneous abortion, we studied the genotypes of spontaneously aborted fetuses, their mothers and healthy control cases. Methods 23 spontaneously aborted fetal materials, 22 mothers who had these abortions and 86 healthy control cases included to this study. VEGF A C405G, C460T, C936T and C2578A polymorphisms are analysed by Real Time PCR technique after genomic DNA isolation from all samples. Results VEGF A +405GG genotype and +405G allele were higher in fetuses comparing both with mothers and healthy control group. VEGF A +936TT genotype and +936T allele were higher in fetuses comparing with mothers. VEGF A +460C/T polymorphism CT and TT genotypes were higher in fetuses comparing with mothers. Conclusions We ascertained that VEGF A +405C/G, +460C/T, and +936C/T polymorphisms are risk factors for spontaneous abortion in fetal genotypes comparing with their mothers and healthy control cases.

متن کاملGenotype Reuse More Important than Genotype Size in Evolvability of Embodied Neural Networks
The relative influence of genotype reuse and number of genotype parameters on the evolvability of an embodied neural network is explored. Two genotype to phenotype mappings are used to encode a neural network controlling a hexapod agent. A symmetric encoding reuses the genotype by duplicating parts of the genotype to create the phenotype. A direct encoding maps one genotype parameter to one phe...
متن کاملResponse to interferon alfa is hepatitis B virus genotype dependent: genotype A is more sensitive to interferon than genotype D.
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Current interferon alfa (IFN) treatment of chronic hepatitis B has limited efficacy. The role of hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotypes for response to IFN was investigated. PATIENTS AND METHODS HBV genotype was determined by direct sequencing of the HBV X gene in 165 consecutive patients with chronic replicative hepatitis B treated with standard IFN. HBV genotype A or D was fo...

متن کاملHepatitis B virus genotype A is more often associated with severe liver disease in northern India than is genotype D.
BACKGROUND The clinical outcome of chronic hepatitis B may depend on hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotype. Data from India on this aspect are limited and contradictory. We studied the frequency of HBV genotypes and their clinical significance. METHODS Stored sera from patients with chronic HBV infection were tested for HBV genotype using PCR-RFLP. Clinical data, and biochemical and serological pa...
